As a special needs parent, I know what it’s like to be so focused on the daily challenges of caring for a child with disabilities that, over time, it can hijack our joy and leave us feeling less hopeful for a bright future. We can start to feel stuck and lose sight of the good plans that God has for our lives. But, my friend, it doesn’t have to be that way.

Here's My Story
Our son's special needs had not changed God’s good plan for our lives. I’ve had to learn and grow a lot over the past two decades, and it hasn't been easy. It has required intentionality, commitment, faith and a willingness to try different things. After all these years, I’m still learning and growing - as my son’s needs change and my family and I change.
As a coach, speaker and writer I’ve had the opportunity to encourage and support other special needs parents who want to reclaim their joy and create the best life possible for their family and themselves. If that’s you - if you’re ready to make a change - let me know. I’d love to help.
My journey as a special needs mom began over two decades ago after my son contracted an illness that left him with multiple disabilities. Our family life was turned upside down and replaced by a very challenging new normal. I left my career to take on the roles of my son’s medical caregiver and advocate. I also had to grieve the loss of the dreams I’d had for my son, my family and for myself.
There was so much I didn’t know at the beginning of this journey. I hadn’t anticipated the aloneness, the relentless demands, the feelings of defeat, or the physical and emotional fatigue. Back then, I couldn’t imagine what our lives would look like today. Thankfully, over time, my husband and I began to realize that we could create new dreams and possibilities for our son and our family.
